# CJ RACEWAY FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

How are line ups figured?

HEATS
For heats, cars are lined up by inverted average points, with the lowest on the pole of heat 1, second lowest in the pole of heat 2, and continuing to alternate. Any car that has missed more than 2 weeks, along with all new cars start in the rear.

If there are 3 heats, the third lowest has the pole in the third heat, fourth lowest outside first row in first heat, and so on.

FEATURES
The top 5 in each heat qualify and are lined up by inverted average points with lowest on the pole. Any new cars or cars that have missed more than 2 nights will go at the end, but still be in the top 10. From 6th on back in each heat, they are lined up with the first heat inside and second heat outside. For example, 6th place in the first heat starts inside the 6th row.

If there are 3 heats, the top 12 are lined up by inverted average points. Thirteenth place is the 5th place finisher from heat 1, 14th is the 5th place finisher from heat 2, 15th place is the 5th place finisher from heat 3. It continues on with 6th place from heat 1, then heat 2, then heat 3. Then 7th place from heat 1, then heat 2, and then heat 3.

Late models go by a 3-week average point system, all other classes are cumulative for the year.

Anyone can voluntarily start in the rear.

How do the points work?
1. Points are only awarded for features.
2. The feature winner is awarded 40 points and then points drop by 1 point per position.
3. As long as you show up, you will be awarded last place points. You do not have to start the feature to receive points.
